Adding Google Translate To Your WordPress Website.

As you know, WordPress repository is full of plugins and you can find a specific plugin for everything.

To allow translation, you have to install and active Google Language Translator plugin. Just go to Plugins>>Add New. Search and download the plugin.

After activation, you will see a new option in the settings’ section.

Just go to Settings>>Google Language Translator and the plugin’s settings will appear to you.

You will see a checkbox to activate the translation service of this plugin. There will be a list of languages. Either you select all the languages or some specific languages to translate into.

On the right sidebar, you will see how Google language translator will appear on your website.

You can also change the default “Translate” text from the plugin.

After configuring, save the settings. Currently, you have just configured the plugin. It will not show anything until you add its widget in the sidebar.

Most of the website owners prefer to show the language translator in the sidebar. Though you can also show it in the footer area but it won’t be user-friendly.

Now go to Appearance>>Widgets and find the “Google Language Translator” widget and add it in the sidebar.

Either you drag and drop or use the one click option. The choice is yours.

Depending on the design of your website, it will appear. The language translator drop menu and icon will look the same as in the plugin.

If you want to change the size of the flag then it can be done from plugin configuration.

I have changed it to Bulgarian. You can test it on your local server before using it on your live website. I hope you know how to setup WordPress in XAMPP.

      I have tested many plugins including Polylang. Google Language Translator is easy to configure. Many people try to embrace it’s working which can be done by adding it’s APIs using the manual method.
